At The Joinery, our furniture is designed with intention and built to last. Every piece of furniture is constructed from sold, domestic hardwood and crafted to completion by a single craftsperson.
We proudly offer a Lifetime Guarantee to the original owner of each piece.

What Our Lifetime Guarantee Covers
Our guarantee protects against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, including:
Structural Integrity
Failures in the core structure of the furniture, including joinery, frame construction, and load-bearing components that compromise the stability or intended function of the piece.
Wood Materials
Defects in the wood itself that affect structural performance, such as abnormal cracking or separation resulting from material flaws.
If a defect covered under this guarantee occurs, The Joinery will repair the piece or replace it if necessary.
What Is Not Covered
Because wood is a natural material and furniture lives in dynamic environments, some changes are expected over time. The following are not covered under our guarantee:
Natural Wood Movement & Patina
Wood expands and contracts with seasonal humidity changes. Minor movement and the natural deepening of color over time are part of solid wood furniture and are not considered defects.
Sunlight & Fading
Direct sunlight may cause wood and finishes to lighten or darken over time. We recommend placement away from prolonged direct UV exposure and using window coverings when appropriate.
Environmental Conditions
Warping, cracking, or damage caused by extreme dryness, humidity, rapid temperature shifts, or exposure to direct heat sources (radiators, fireplaces, heating vents) are not covered.
Wear and Tear
Normal use over time may result in surface scratches, dents, impressions, or wear of the finish, particularly on dining tables and chair seats. These are considered part of everyday living and are not defects. To learn more about our recommended maintenance or repair services, please contact us.
Upholstery, Leather, and Fabric
Natural stretching, softening, creasing, fading, or wear of fabric or leather is expected. We encourage regular care according to the fabric’s specific care guidelines.
Hardware & Third-Party Components
Drawer slides, glides, hinges, and other third-party components are not covered by The Joinery’s warranty.
Shipping Damage
Damage sustained during customer-arranged transport or third-party shipping not coordinated by The Joinery is not covered.
Unauthorized Repairs or Modifications
Repairs or alterations performed by anyone other than The Joinery or our designated representatives voids the guarantee.
Custom Design Requests
Certain customer-requested specifications or structural modifications outside of our standard engineering may carry limited coverage and will be communicated at time of order.
Our Commitment
The quality of our craft is our greatest environmental contribution. In a world where most furniture is discarded within a decade, we build pieces intended to last for generations.
If you ever experience an issue with your Joinery piece, we encourage you to reach out. Even when something falls outside this guarantee, we are often able to repair or refinish furniture to extend its life.
Because furniture should not just be owned. It should be lived with.
