Just like a master chef turning yesterday’s ingredients into a show-stopping dish, our skilled woodworkers are once again transforming leftover lumber into stunning new furniture pieces. At The Joinery, every board has a story—and even the smaller pieces of wood left behind after building our handcrafted furniture carry beauty and potential. The Metamortise Contest is our way of celebrating that creativity and giving these off-fall pieces new life.

This year, about a half dozen inventive, one-of-a-kind pieces will be on display. Our talented builders have transformed off-fall into striking new designs. In past contests, we’ve seen everything from incredible furniture items to ingenious home accents – each revealing the surprising possibilities hidden in the wood pile.

And here’s where you come in: you get to help decide the winner. Cast your vote for your favorite creation, and your ballot doubles as your entry into our drawing. The lucky winner will take home the piece of their choice – handcrafted, sustainable, and unlike anything else.
