We are super pleased that an old favorite has been revised and revived from the archives of Joinery design, and has joined us once again on the showroom floor. The Alexandra Chair has been built time and time again for Joinery customers, and we decided to revisit the design of the piece and play with the proportions a little to make the chair even more suitable as a dining chair. Here is the chair as it comes through assembly:
The chair features classic curved legs and a scrolled top at the backrest, and has a stately demeanor that we think works well in both formal and semi-formal dining areas. In the dark tones of the Eastern Walnut it is both sober and sedate. We have paired it with a feminine chenille damask to give it just a little extra touch of luxury.
Visually, the chair takes cues from our well loved V-Back Chair, with a semi-circle seat and arching back, but the scrollwork and lower back make it a statement unto it's own.
