As the deep darkness of winter is descending, we start longing for rooms that match our moods. There are so many ways to set the mood in a room, and one of our favorites is through upholstery. One of our newest chairs to hit the showroom floor are the Alexandra Chairs, an archived style that we have updated and set back into our standard line. The chairs we have on the floor are built in Eastern Walnut and have upholstered seats, for which we chose a plush chenille damask pattern. You can see our post about the process of building the chairs here.
This fabric is Robert Allen pattern Daedal in Prussian, and is available in two alternate colorways. A good match for this fabric might be a textured linen, like this one from Threads by Lee Jofa. It is a linen and viscose blend Made in Italy and is shown in color number 290. The natural texture of the linen is an unexpected choice next to the sophisticated damask pattern, yet brings out the natural element in the background and lets the chenille shine.
