Our Shop

When you visit our location in Portland, Oregon, you can see the shop from our viewing deck. This is where our master craftsman mill all the wood up into pieces that are assembled into furniture. In this area we cut, joint, glue, and sand pieces. We also make all our dovetails and shape pieces, plus all our mortise and tenon joinery is performed here. A portion of our lumber is stored in the back of the shop.

After the pieces are milled up we would then assemble, sand, and finish in another part of our building. The process for a piece to go through from start to finish is about 3 weeks. Generally, one craftsman takes a piece from the start to assembly. Then, our finish people take it from there.
