The Joinery is pleased to support Healthy Forests Healthy Communities (HFHC), a regional program of Sustainable Northwest which is dedicated to helping rural communities based on forest restoration and ecosystem management.
Traditionally, madrone has been used for utilitarian purposes including breadboards and fireplace mantels.
We are featuring the special beauty of madrone wood from certified mills in the Northwest. Madrone is an extremely hard wood with its coloring between cherry and maple. In addition, it can have unique grain patterns with streaks of red, grey, and brown. Madrone makes beautiful furniture with an adventurous rustic look and a glassy smooth finish.
Madrone is shown here in the Sapporo Bed, Seven-Drawer Dresser, and Pacific Night Table.
